How do traditions get passed down from generation to generation?
The Sokaogon Chippewa Community (Mole Lake Band of Lake Superior Chippewa) hosts seasonal camps to pass on cultural knowledge to future generations. Chris McGeshick shares about the annual winter camp that teaches traditional and modern fishing techniques, including tip-ups, jigs, paddleboard lines, decoy-making, and spearfishing through the ice. During this camp, other tribes and community members are invited to share in the unique treaty rights of the Ojibwe.
