Media Literacy

Join a cohort of Wisconsin educators or work on your own to become a PBS Certified Media Literacy Educator. You can complete a series of eight micro-credentials, submitted through the Digital Promise platform, demonstrating how to critically evaluate and analyze media, create audio and video for instruction, and build lesson plans that help students become thoughtful media consumers and creators. PBS Wisconsin Education hosts a cohort of educators working toward PBS Media Literacy Educator Certification by KQED each academic year. Applications are currently closed for the 2024-25 cohort.
